Since 1998 Old Independence Regional Museum has presented quality programs, tours, genealogy, records, and archives to the general public in an effort to bring the past to life.

Our Mission

The mission of the Old Independence Regional Museum in Batesville, Arkansas, is the acquisition and preservation of artifacts and archival materials significant to the history of Independence County, Arkansas, and the surrounding counties, making these materials available for research and providing history-based education for the public through exhibits and programs.
