March 13 | 2 p.m. | Regional Archaeology Program Museum intern Jonathan Kindrex will discuss basic archeological digging techniques and the how Greenbrier Bottoms dig helped archeologist learn about Native Americans in our region. |
March 14 | 9-11 a.m. | Homeschool Day - Archeology Themed “Dig It” will feature many archaeology themed activities including basic excavation techniques and a mock dig, making clay pots, and creating a “cave” painting. Students will also learn about the Greenbrier Bottoms dig and its importance to our region. Activities funded through the Bill Jordan Public Grant. |
March 19 | 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. | Spring Family Day-
Activities will center on local archaeology. A mock dig will be on site for visitors to learn and practice basic excavation techniques. Visitors can also make clay pots and create a “cave” painting. Activities funded through the Bill Jordan Public Grant.
