February 11 6:30 pm Love Bites II  – Fund Raiser
February 21 2 p.m. Baby Care in Years Gone By - Exhibit Debut
Come share your favorite child rearing memories at our exhibit debut. Refreshments will follow.
March 13 2 p.m. Regional Archaeology Program
Museum intern Jonathan Kindrex will discuss basic archeological digging techniques and the how Greenbrier Bottoms dig helped archeologist learn about Native Americans in our region.
March 14 9-11 a.m. Homeschool Day - Archeology Themed
“Dig It” will feature many archaeology themed activities including basic excavation techniques and a mock dig, making clay pots, and creating a “cave” painting. Students will also learn about the Greenbrier Bottoms dig and its importance to our region. Activities funded through the Bill Jordan Public Grant.
March 19 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Spring Family Day-
Activities will center on local archaeology. A mock dig will be on site for visitors to learn and practice basic excavation techniques. Visitors can also make clay pots and create a “cave” painting. Activities funded through the Bill Jordan Public Grant.

May 15 2 pm Mary Miller will discuss various epidemics in American history and how vaccinations have made a difference in breakouts.

  Old Independence Regional Museum will offer a photographic scavenger hunt throughout the 12 counties that the Museum represents.   Entry fee will be $10 per child or $25 per family.  Prizes will be awarded. Click here for details.
